I would never classify myself as a “traditional” photographer, so when Mollie and Noah told me they wanted a portion of their engagement session to be in a cemetery…..well, I was all for it! I’d never shot in a cemetery before, so it was totally new and exciting. My biggest struggle was getting over my initial fear of where to walk!

It wasn’t just a random idea they had…Noah is a funeral director and Mollie said she wanted a “till death do us a part” photo, so naturally….it was perfect 🙂

Given the session took place in Harrisville, WV and I’m located in Rock Hill, SC, I didn’t know much about where we were going to shoot. Luckily, Mollie had everything planned out and even sent me photos of the locations she wanted to use! (I have the best clients!) Our session ended on the highest point overlooking the town of Harrisville. Wow, it was amazing. We kicked the vehicle into 4×4 (obviously, not mine!) and headed up the mountain. We arrived and the horses started galloping into the sunset and out of sight….just insane beauty.

We continued shooting until the sun was completely gone…I literally had to pry myself off that hill. Just an incredible ending to an awesome session with perfect clients!

A special thank you to Jennifer Smith of Jenn Smith Photography for assisting me!
